Sound issues

Hi,

I've had the note 20 ultra for just over a week now and I've been looking at changing the messages app notification sound to a custom sound but it doesn't work.

Same with Facebook for example. If all sounds are at the minimum level (1 click up from off) the Facebook "like" button is super loud. The only way to turn it off is with "Do Not Disturb". 

Can anyone help please?

The route I take to choose a custom sound for my messages is Settings,  Apps, Messages, Notifications,  New Messages,  choose my tone of choice that's available in the list.

this is what I do also, however, there's no custom option there so not good for me as I want the app to play a sound of my choice not a sound from the list given by Samsung.
