Usually clearing the phone's system files by turning the phone Off and then from a set series of button presses to go into the phone's system files and clear the cache helps @davidsr
May I ask which update you completed.
Make sure all your apps are updated and take into account some apps may still be being optimised by the developers to catch up with the new updates.
You can test this theory by putting the phone into Safe Mode.
Finally a Samsung Service Centre can take a look.
