A month old. From day 1 in Spigen Ultra Hybrid case and last two weeks with Whitestone dome screen protector. I took it from the pocket in the evening (i was driving with the car before when i put it in the pocket after a call and it was ok) and found this. It cracked above the power button throughout the whole screen. The crack on the screen protector above that one was made by me, when i was checking if the screen actualy cracked. The screen and touch still works fine. How is this even possible, that the screen cracks inside the front pants pocket by itself? Aren't phones designed for carrying them in pocket? There was nothing else in the pocket that could cause the crack and also, the crack started at the very beggining of the glass 2 mm inside the case. I found some simillar cases of spontaneus cracks in the same way on the Samsung phones on the internet. It looks like manufacture defect, but how to proove it to the Samsung service center? I have had only Samsung phones until now and also in the family we have 3 more and not even 1 had a broken screen until now. I will certanly rethink my brand decision if i will have to pay for apparent manufacturing defect even for the price of loosing S-pen.

The realy expensive phone is becoming even more expensive...

I wonder when Samsung people will read all those forums (US too) and finally open their eyes and see the damage they are creating to their own company.

Many loyal customers (like me) will obviously change products.

If I have to spend money, I want product is worth the money I spent.

And since there are so many  people I wonder when there will be a recall or a class action against Samsung

I sent this link to Samsung and the repair company in one of my final emails. Maybe this is why they sent me the phone repaired after saying they would not.  Who knows with them really.  Obviously there is an issue.  I'm beyond done at this point.  They have ruined it for me.  This is not my 1st Samsung mess but it is my last.

They asked my email all the time I called them, but I never got any of their emails (I checked spam too).

Not sure if they are afraid I put in the email all my words (I did not use any offensive words, just tell them how bad quality is the phone and expected something better for their top level product)

Call and escalate the call to a.higher lever.  At one point I was texting with someone sending them pics of the screen while we were talking on the phone.   He was so ignorant.  He said "I got the pics..  yeah..  you dropped it..".  I wanted to snap.  I never dropped that ***** phone.  Then I go on here and see pics of the same cracks on people's posts as mine.  Grrrrrrrr.  What a nightmare.  They were all very rude to me and I just kept being polite because I knew if I 2ws rude back that would be it.  I still got nowhere.  I really was shocked when it showed up at the door fixed because they pretty well told me to float.

How about all of us Here compose an e-mail  and everyone sends it to all Employees of Samsung? 😀 you can literally find their details on Linkedin 😀

I'm still upset about my phone.. didn't  get it fixed since it happened after Xmass  and waiting for price for repair to drop 😔

For the first time in my life actually thinking of converting to Apple with my next phone.. such a shame

I had great experience with Apple customer service: my laptop had an issue, the was a recall program but I did not find in time about that. However the service took my device after that time and fixed it for free.

Here at Samsung I got rude employee for a 2.5 month old product ... and it's their "flagship" product.

I spoke with Samsung supervisor. Very kind and understanding person. Completely different than the customer's care. I wish I would find him earlier

This situation is wild.  I've been called a liar by people all over the planet yet I see the same thing happening to others.  Samsung were sort ignorant to me.  They just kept saying "Yeah, you dropped it.."  I didnt so they pretty well called me a liar.  The more I emailed and called the more rude they go .  I gave up.  They stressed me out too much.  I was just going to pay the $400 and move on.  2 days later the phone showed up fixed..   *****.  After making me feel like ***** for a week.  Now I'm scared of the ***** thing..   itll probably break.   Hoping to sell it before it does.  Samsung..  you are terrible..  thanks for fixing your defective phone..  but...  obviously the damage has been done.  You treated me like garbage..  never .  Ever .  Again.

Don't stop addressing it to the .   Maybe they'll replace yours too.  Hope s .  It's their fault they're breaking!!

I have the same exact issue a crack started by my power button and spider all across the screen in small hairline fractures. I do believe this to be a manufacturer defect. When I called Samsung I told me they specifically did not cover screen cracks. This leads me to believe they are aware of this issue. I'm shopping around for a good lawyer right now. I'll let you know when I find

As my partner said in the prevoous post, we both have Note 10+ phones and have both developed cracked glass on the side of the phone without dropping them. I am using the included screen protector that was fitted from factory as well as the case that was in the box.

I have had s2, s3, 3 x s5, note 2, 7, 9 and now 10+5g. I am convinced that this is a manufacturing defect and i would like to see a response from Samsung at least acknowledging this issue.

When I approached a staff member at my local store, he explained that any screen damage was regarded as the fault of the customer and Samsung would not cover the repair.

This post is evidence of a problem that is affecting a number of users worldwide. The cost of replacement is 420 Australian dollars. We should not have to wear this, when the phone failed after only a month of use.

@touki  says This post is evidence of a problem that is affecting a number of users worldwide.

I am surfing in 4 differents Samsung's Members all around the world including USA and nobodies are talking about this so i don't see the evidence and this is why i'm asking you pictures of your damage. Only thing i saw, it's screen cracking after people put a Whitestone Dome Glass when the glue dried..

Also , are you sure than you don't broke ONLY the Samsung's screen protector ?

I did not get a picture of the damage. But basically the crack started on the front side, 1/3 from bottom. If you look closely at the 2 pieces of glass top and back. There is a small gap. The edge is unfinished, just like tempered glass and just like tempered glass even a tiny hit will crack the glass.

Which case is that ? Also, is this the original Samsung screen protector  ? You say it was in your pocket , did you fall or something else ? OHHH, you wake up so soon, poor guy ...

I noticed a bubble when I dropped my phone off of a 10 foot ladder LOL luckily it was in the case no damage done but there was a bubble and I was able to rub the air out of the bubble.

This is with original screen protector and case. I had it in my pocket with nothing else. Did not hit anything either.

These are indeed unfortunate events that have affected your phones in this way.

I refer back to the advice I gave earlier in the thread.

I've been using my Samsung Note 10+ 5G since launch date with no issues with the screen - touch wood !

I've had a Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector fitted on my phone around a week later after launch.

I do not keep my phone in my pocket etc instead it slips into a vertical holster.

The preinstalled screen protector is made of some kind of plastic, so it's a bit strange to ask if it's broken.

All those cracks apparenly happend spontaneusly with only glass being cracked, LCD and Digitizer are working normaly afterwards. This show's how little it takes to brake this not realy useful edge on the screen.  I simply don't even dare to carry this phone without wallet case anymore and still looking worrying at the screen every single time if it's still intact. Bad move Samsung, realy bad, with this rounded screens.

If i am asking that, it's because i try to know if it's only the Samsung's screen protector that broke or the screen of the Note10plus...

Like i said, i did'nt see this kind of problem anywhere  and just try to understand..that's it...
