Firmware update failed at 26% - solution here

Download and install smart switch on PC / MAC and once connected with your phone the smart swtch will detect the update and follow the instructions on PC / MAC.

Thanks for the info can't do that yet as on holiday but will do when back home

tried that it wont work on my wife's Mac , not an easy solution ?

What went wrong? Have you installed Smart Switch on the phone too? Both phone and the MAC require the platform to be connected and transfer the firmware

Had to alter settings on the Mac to allow smart switch to work , took a few attempts !
