I just had an interesting thing happen. I like having a Note pinned to my home page as a shopping list.
Just now I went to add another Note for another purpose and couldn't figure out how to accomplish that task.
I finally succeeded after I realized there's a difference between a short tap and a long tap (when tapping the Note in question). (The short tap brings up the three vertical dots in the upper right with the Pin to Home screen option.)
I should add that even after I realized the difference the application was a bit glitchy in not always responding to my touch as I expected it to.
At any rate, I'm just passing this on.
