WiFi issue causing apps to crash

Hello,

the Note10 seems to have a strange WiFi issue which causes certain apps to crash. Examples in my case are Google Cloud Print and Google Pay in combination with Commerzbank App (for approving the sign in). If WiFi is disabled, the apps do not crash.

This issue is also reported in other forum, also at google, but as different apps are affected, I think its an issue with the Note10. Is Samsung aware of this issue and when can we expect a patch for it?

Best regards

Stefan

Hey @stna1981! Have you tried clearing the cache of the 3 apps? Settings > Apps > The 3 apps that keep crashing > Storage > Clear cache. Also, make sure that the Note 10 is running on the latest software version by heading to: Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.

Hi @CarloL The phone is up-to-date and all apps have been cleared and re-installed. Moreover, it would not make sense that a caching issue causes such a strange issue that only occurs when WiFi is enabled, but not when WiFi is disabled. As already mentioned, there are more people with the same issue, see e. g. here:

Hi @stna1981

Does this happen on any Wi-Fi connection that you're aware of or just your home connection?

@ChrisM @CarloL Any progress on that issue, it's really annoying to always disable Wi-Fi just for printing something.

Hi @stna1981 ,  Have you sent any error reports with log files as soon as you've noticed it via the Members app on this one?

Samsung Members > Get Help > Send Feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > attach a description and tick ‘send system log data’ > Send.

(Or: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select Error reports from the dropdown menu, etc.)

Collecting the data never finishes, I assume this is somehow blocked by our IT (business phone). However, it would be a lot easier / efficient if Samsung would just reproduce the issue by itself with a Note10+ and Google Cloud Print.

Update on this one @stna1981 .

Our developers say they've informed Google about the issue with Google Cloud Print [com.google.android.apps.cloudprint], but that it's an issue only Google can fix.
