I recorded a video on my phone using the default camera. I made an edit using the editing function in the gallery. However I changed my mind on the edit and decided to revert the changes. After I clicked revert, the whole video file got corrupted and is no longer playing. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I have already tried using VLC which hasn't worked and I have used an app called mp4fix which only recovered some of the MP4 file.
Hi. Is it possible to tell us on which phone? Is the file stored in the internal memory or the external memory? How is it corrupted? Does it still appear in the gallery and is how much gb of it does appear to be there now? My first guess it's some bug affected it while editing. Clear the cache of the camera app, might help. Also how did you try to bring it back to original video? Did you use Revert to Original feature?
Thanks for the info. Hopefully you will be able to restore it. Also as mentioned by Johnz237 check back up data places such as One Drive and Google Gallery, the original video might be there. Also clear the cache of the Gallery app, wanted to mention this earlier. Restart your phone if you haven't done so earlier.
