[URGENT HELP] Samsung does not recognize my correct PIN

Hello everyone.

I'm commenting on the "disorder" that Samsung is causing me to suffer. Last Thursday, I decide to reboot my device, Samsung A22 4g, something I do once a week to "speed up" the device a bit, and this is when the WORST happens. My samsung does NOT accept/recognize my own PIN (100% sure it is the correct one), at first I thought I was setting it wrong, after three errors, I start to worry.... After 3 wrong errors, I start trying other "possible PINs" but none were correct ACCORDING to the device.

Today I try again and it asks me to wait 24 HOURS before I can try a PIN.

I want to clarify that I can NOT lose the data that is on the phone, otherwise I would have already restored and recovered my device.

I have read all over the internet and it has happened to many users. Some have solved it by going into Safe Mode and it accepted (fortunately) the PIN.

What is Samsung's solution to this? I can't just reset the phone, I have a lot of data that I can't lose.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this. This is really keeping me awake at night! a real headache!

I am at 24hours lock. I did the pattern to unlock my phone but it didn’t work!! The pin and fingerprint are set up as back-up methods, but it did not show up. I don’t want to erase my data, even if I have most things backed up with my google account, my pictures and voice notes are not and I really need them. I just myself an iPhone in the meantime to see if it is better than android system. I keep my s22 in hope that at some point Samsung will allow customers to remotely unlock or offer the option to put to pin when too many attempts of pattern locked the phone. I loves Samsung so much, I’m so sad…

I have a Samsung S24 with the same problem. I had my fingerprint set to unlock the phone. Even though I have my fingerprint set to unlock, I have to unlock the phone with a PIN code every now and then. The same thing happened last week, but this time the phone wouldn't accept the correct PIN code. I've entered the correct PIN code countless times, every time it says the code is incorrect. I've also done a soft reset, it still won't accept the PIN code. I'm now on the 24 hour unlock interval. How many more attempts do I have before the phone locks permanently?

This happened to me on my S25 ultra. Soft refresh/hard reset did not work. In the end I factory reset it from Find me (did not know I could do that). Unfortunatly about 4 days later, same thing. Only less panic this time. Once more and I will be asking Samsung for a new phone.

This morning I had to enter the pin to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S21 and the phone wouldn't accept the pin.  It is the same pin I've had setup on the phone since purchasing it 3.5 years ago so I know it is correct.

No error is displayed on entering the pin, it just doesn't do anything and stays at the lock screen.

After reading this post I tried a soft reset and although this took some time to complete, it worked and I'm now able to login using my pin again.

Samsung, this is a very serious issue and you need to sort it out NOW.

I have now lost all confidence in this Samsung phone.  The thought that the very software used to make my mobile secure could also permanently lock me out is enough to put me off Samsung mobiles.  Every time I have to unlock my mobile using the PIN I will now be wondering if it will work or not!
