Is there any way to avoid all system updates? I like my phone the way it is, stop changing things around. What gives samsung and android the right to disable MY phone until I download and install their software?

I object to the updates for the following reasons:

It reinstalls bloatware such as the Samsung equivalent of Google Play and sets them to default.

I then have to spend my time disabling these bloated apps and reverting back to my preferences.

When my phone is working perfectly fine I would prefer not to 'update' it and when I have chosen not to use the bloatware I would prefer not to have it re-forced upon me.

I get a notification about this update about a dozen times a day and am looking to disable it.

You just pay for the phone. Samsung owns them, and does as they please. Bug off.

The software updater can be turned off. But will keep notifications turned on for this app. These cannot be turned off. It keeps telling you every other day once cancelled. It would be a good idea "Samsung" if you could be allowed to turn off this notification as its your phone and your choice to have the update or not and not have it forced onto your phone

I have my auto updates turned off and still get the annoying popups to update.

That is horrible

You are right.

There is no option to opt out.
