Teething troubles

Hi. I've recently got this phone as a replacement for my A40, but I can't find the Homescreen grid feature, as on the A40. I can only fit 7 icons to the homescreen whereas on the A40 I could fit 13.  Also somehow, the writing on some screens isn't solid..it's like it's outlined in white, and i don't know how to get it back to solid looking. I have applied new themes and icons...could that be the reason?

It's a great phone, but i am a novice really and am finding it difficult to master. Can you help please...

Hi rogersdave77. It's on the A52s 5g phone that I'm looking for the grid. It's not listed as on the A40 or A52.

Yes there is that, but that's it...it doesn't show the grid layouts..

This is all it shows and they don't take me to a grid so i can't increase the amount of icons on the home page..

@leighleigh: It looks like you might have Easy Mode enabled, which would restrict your Home Screen options. Head to Settings > Display > Easy Mode, and toggle this option off if it's active, then head back to Settings > Home Screen > Home Screen Grid. Let me know how you get on.
