Personally I use online vaults @Peachycat such as Dropbox.
Other options are also available.
You can clear up some internal storage by deleting information / data / apps / text message / calendar entries etc you no longer need.
And as @Pugs1957 👍 suggests use a SD Card or if you are think about purchasing a larger storage amount card.
