I have an old Samsung A3 (2017). It works as good today as when I bought it. This phone was: Aluminium body, Gorilla glass & IP68 Water proof. The A Series phones were different back then. You would get new technology on an A series phone, which would then advance to the S series. Nowadays the A series is just another set of phones. Series A & S are just phones now.

A series has always been a few steps behind S and that will never change new advances go onto the S line up first and once they find cheaper ways to mass produce they then go to A

for example your A3 came out the same year as the note 8... if your A3 had all of this first then what did all the other plus the note 5 had all of what you mentioned that came out in 2015 if I remember correctly

The A3 & A5 came with aluminium body, ip68 which the S series didn't have, but later received.
