Recording phone calls

I have tried just about everything I can find but simply cannot get the phone call recording software to work on my A22 5g. It doesn't get their end and seems to just act as a sound recording device. I've been in touch with the app's tech guys and checked settings etc but nothing seems to work. It's a UK phone with, I think, UK settings.

While it's not illegal to do so in the UK in other countries it's illegal thus why the app may not work
