This has been a problem since I've had the A41. It just does not work properly. I complained to Samsung who said they were aware and it would be sorted with the next update. It did not. Anyone else have the same problem!

What issues do you experience @RegSturt 

I use the stock keyboard which is version 5.1.15.1

as I type this it's working fine. this will not last long. suddenly it goes into producing words that have letters that I'm not tapping but all. as you always see 'at' always comes out 'but'. small example but you can see what I mean. I'm just using what the phone came with on a 4 x 3 grid

Ok what have you done thus far in regards to troubleshooting and what version are you using ?

I've no idea what version. wouldn't know where to look. Its the one that was installed on the phone. When I contacted Samsung before he had me clearing the cache and database. It made no difference.

Certainly a conundrum then @RegSturt as mine is fine.

Steps you could take are....

First please put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent downloaded app's one at a time until it stops. 

Try another keyboard.

Clear your phone's System Cache Files by turning your phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phone's System Files and clear the cache. No information is lost this way. 

Factory reset as a very last resort.

Let a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

the problem appears to be only if you use the 4 x 3 keyboard. just tried various words like 'baby' which doesn't
appear at all. it seems that samsung havetried to be too
clever. this did no happen on previous phones. please t
ry it. either that or its my phone
