Phone freezing during charge

So, not only is the current messaging in app still glitching like crazy for me, I've now experienced another.

My phone was charging last night as I always do, like I always set 3 alarms in the morning (Yes I'm that type of human).

To my wide eyes this morning, it was 10:55am. Which I shot out of bed to discover that my phone was frozen. Stuck charging at 69%. Nothing was working, until I pressed down on the power button and it restarted. 

Why is my phone now freezing during charge? I'm back to work next week and I cannot afford to wake up way past my shift because my phone froze. 

Anyone else experiencing this?

When on the samsung members page Click on the get help button At the bottom of the page And run a diagnostic test charging and if have another charger try that

Hello. I unfortunately cannot see the option to find the button to get help.

I don't think its my charger. I do believe it's my phone. Its been glitching ever since the new update.
