My phone says my previous screen lock for my back up is incorrect but it's not

This morning my phone had done a restart during the night and when using screen lock to get into it, it was overheating and didnt read my sim card. I did a software update and it worked for about 2 hours and then my phone started freezing and restarting non stop. So I did another factory reset. Now that I want to restore from my back up it asks to enter the previous screen lock which I have done 5 times now and it keeps saying that it is incorrect. How is it incorrect if I was using that same screen lock ALL DAY to get into my phone. 

I seriously need help because I don't want to lose my back up!!

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community.

The sad reality is that there is no way around this without the PIN it is requesting. Attempting an old password from an older device might help. You could also contact Samsung support, but I doubt they can help.

Are you definitely logging into the correct account email address? Maybe you are using a different one for another device or old device?

Do a soft reboot: press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously for more than seven seconds, and then try again.
