Music won't play

I transferred all files from a Samsung  s9 to my new Samsung  A52 5g , and now lots of music  tracks won't play or can't be set as ringtones,  pop up message says Samsung can't play this file , please  help .

I had a similar problem. I use poweramp and had to open my music folder for the app to play the tracks.

Samsung no longer supports wma files which I suspect is the issue. To get them to work either rename them as mp3 or use an audio file converter.

Download the VLC AV app from playstore, plays nearly every format on audio and video files.

Thanks for reminding me about VLC. I had it on my laptop years ago. Been messing all day with Samsung music and formatting sd cards. VLC works great.
