Minimum media volume too loud

I find the minimum volume on my A23 5G's internal speaker too loud when playing some songs in a quiet room.

Is there a way to lower volume past minimum as with the 'Extra dim' function for brightness?

Tap Sounds and vibration 
 > Volume.

Tap More options 
 > Media volume limiter.

Tap On/Off to enable this feature.

When enabled, drag the Custom volume limit slider to set the maximum output volume.

Tap Set volume limit PIN to prevent changes to the volume setting.

This limits the max volume and only applies to headphones. I want to reduce the internal speaker volume below minimum.

I don't understand this problem, surely the minimum volume is zero? I've never encountered a device where that wasn't the case. Are you sure you're reducing the media volume and not just the device volume? You need to reduce media volume.

I'm referring to media volume, used when playing music. Level 1 is quietest but often too loud and 0 is muted.

On my phone (A22) the volume is controlled by a slider, the same as every other Samsung I've had (4) . Media becomes inaudible some way from the end of the bar. Where are you seeing those numbers? Any chance of a screenshot?

There are no numbers - I only said Level 1 to refer to the min level. Here's an example of the media volume slider (not at minimum here).

The slider I was referring to is the horizontal one in Settings. It's clutching at straws, but perhaps that may give you more control. If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas. It's certainly a strange one!

This has 15 levels, the same as the slider in my image. I guess I'll have to cover the speaker with my finger when min volume is too loud.

My volume control doesn't have levels, it's continuously variable?
