massive problems since software update

Since the last update I've been having issues with getting on the internet (4g and wifi), really slow responses in the basic working, and the worst thing is that phonecalls are now impossible because the signal has entirely disappeared. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. I'm on an a71.

Is this where I should look for help or is it elsewhere?

Hi there.
maybe try powering off the phone fully for 5 to 10 minutes, then back on.
see if that helps.
if not you could try factory reset or pop into where you got the phone.
it may also be a sim card issue, that a replacement sim might sort out.
if you have the phone less than 28 days go back to where you bought it and the should replace it for you.
