if you do the method that IamJai recommended you may come across Google security lock (FRP... Factory Reset Protection). you will need to know your Google account password to unlock the phone. if you or your daughter don't know that password at that time then you would have to go through Google to reset the password and if that's not possible the phone would have to be sent to your local Samsung repair centre with proof of purchase.
one way to unlock it without resetting the device is to log into the Samsung account (if one was made) on a PC or Laptop... that way you can verify yourself and unlock the phone.
