Left side not responding

Please help my Samsung Galaxy A71 the left side stopped responding now I can not input my pin code as the numbers 1 , 4 , 7 are not working on the keypad.

Has anything recently happened such as an accidental bump or maybe water issues ?

Go over to your dial pad and type in *#0*#, this will bring up a number of tests.

Try putting the phone into Safe Mode which disables downloaded apps but leaves the stock ones working just to see if a downloaded app  / apps is causing this.

Remove any inserted Sd Card as sometimes they can be the culprit.

Is there a screen protector fitted which may be causing a dead spot ?

Try a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On.

If as a last resort a factory reset after backing up and removing any relevant Sd card does not work then visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre.
