Issue with A42 phones recognising finger prints to unlock phone and apps

Is anyone else having issues with the finger print option to unlock their phone or apps that require finger print recognition.
Samsung agent said it could be the screen protector stopping this function.
The A9 had the sensor at the rear of the phone whereas the A42 is on the front screen,not good

Any ideas without having to remove the screen protector

@JDogg: You can also try heading to Settings > Display > Touch Sensitivity, and enable this feature to increase the touch sensitivity of the screen for use with screen protectors.

you must make sure your finger covers the port hole give it a little wiggle and move the finger up and down
