How do I get an outgoing sound for texts?

Under Sounds, I can change the notification sounds. But under notifications specifically for the Messages app, there are two more options for sounds, under New Messages and General Notifications.

The new messages seem to be for incoming messages, but I can't get any outgoing sounds at all, even though all 3 previously mentioned options are set for 3 different sounds. I'm not sure what the other 2 are supposed to be for.

I'm using a galaxy A5.

Does this mean the A5 is dead? Or this forum? No replies at all?

@eisbread: Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Sadly, there isn't a native option on the A5 to enable outgoing message notification sounds. You could try going to Messages > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Text Messages > Delivery Report > Tick to enable, to notify you when a message has been delivered to the recipient. Not the same I know, but it does offer some assurance that the message has been sent successfully. If you look at the message you have composed, it will also show the current time when it has successfully sent.

Thank you. I'll try that.
