I got myself a Galaxy A32 5G phone on Christmas eve cos I lost my previous phone.

But my light on my mobile keeps flickering and sometimes it goes off completely until I tap my phone a few times. Anyone out there any ideas what's going on and to fix it ?

I think that u got problem with sensor...im not sure 🤷‍♂️

Because you've only owned the phone for such a short period of time maybe think about returning the phone to have it swapped out. You shouldn't be having to troubleshoot issues so soon into owning the phone.
