Hello Everyone,
I recently got a Galaxy A55. I enjoy the phone. It's an upgrade almost in every aspect compared to my old phone (Xiaomi Mi 9T) expect in the camera department, which surprised me greatly.
I used the Mi 9T with Gcam (latest version by BSG), therefore the 5 years old phone still makes good, decent images. I did not want to compare side by side the camera capabilities of the A55 to Gcam, which is superior, however I did not expect the A55 to be inconsistent and shift colors greatly in some scenarios.
In a general situations with identical lighting, the A55 makes decent images, however when the lighting conditions are not ideal the A55's camera can produce some weird things.
One example, below are two shots in night mode. First with the main sensor and second with the ultra wide. The main sensor shifted the colors to the red/orang spectrum greatly, whereas the ultra wide has more accurate colors, even though with much less details.

hi, i have a xiaomi mi9t too and used a gcam with a xml from alderon...
i love the gcam photos, but my phone is laggin to process it...
with a55 i saw like a downgrade and compared with a54 looks worst (and both have same sensor)
do you think have had any improvments from your post to now?
hope that they improve the post-processing and give us a good photos or at least like a54 photos....
hope that dont have any issues with cam sensor and the new exynos....

Hello,
I don't experience any improvement in the camera department since the last update.
It's sad to see this in an otherwise good phone. IMHO, All of this could be fixed through software.
Another example of the bad, glitchy Image Processing:
Look at the faces of the persons on the photo. Lots of artifacts.

Same here, I just got a second unit from a amazon and the problem is still there, under artificial light, especially if you photograph gray or plain white objects, a red circle appear in the middle of the frame, for me is a huge problem since I use to take pictures of leather samples to send to my colleagues around the word, and they all look with colour problems due to this camera bug, this is a huge shame because the phone is in general very good, and that leaves me astonished because I had no such problems with galaxy a52, do Samsung read such posts so they can be aware of the issue?
