Does anyone know how to set the gallery/messenger to allow gallery photos to be sent through to others.

@Aimeejay: Please try heading to Settings > Apps > Messenger (as an example) > Permissions > Files and Media > Allow. Do the same for any apps you want to share images through, and you should be good to go.
