Hi, setting up my new galaxy A52s. I was asked to either enter a pin code, tap a rhythm or draw a pattern. What was this for please?

This is for setting a lock for your screen; so that only you can access your phone and not other people (unless you tell them the pin code, etc.) Hope this helps! 😁

Its not that. I remember there was an option that you could add a rhythm by tapping the screen

Maybe that is a new way to add a lock to your screen? I would advise searching about this and looking at reliable websites/sources 😊.
