Galaxy A51 new update screen locks whatsapp voice notes stops

I'm very frustrated. With the new update, I've tried to listen to my whatspap voice notes but looks like the sensor is very sensitive even when I use the screen the voice note stops. When my screen locks, whatsapp voice notes will stop playing. Any advice? I've turned off on and reboot my phone. Nothing seems to be working. All I can do is left my screen unlocked which would consume a lot of battery

It looks like your setting regarding sleeping apps has changed, hence WhatsApp stops playing.

Please go to settings > then tab Apps > select WhatsApp > then tab Battery > 

Choose one of the options:

Unrestricted: will be running in the background without restrictions.

Optimized: the phone learns how you use the app.

You also see restricted, but these settings will not allow the app to play anything in the background.
