Extra Screen

Hi,  a few days ago I began getting an extra blank screen when waking up my phone. It has the 3 navigation buttons at the bottom but nothing else. I have to swipe up to get to my home screen. When I tap and hold that screen, a screen with a white house is at the top. I've tried everything I know to delete the extra screen. It's very irritating cuz I have to do about 50 extra swipes a day. Anybody know how to eliminate this from happening?

From what you write this sounds like you have created an additional page. 

All you should need to do is long press on the screen your not wanting and a trash bin will appear at the top to use in order to delete.

Already attempted that. When I long press the screen there are no action buttons including delete. I am replying to your suggestion only for future searches on my issue. I ended up having to "rebuild" my home screen (and subsequent) pages from scratch.
