I've been told the A40 can only handle 520 gb mem card. I've put a Tb in mine.
Is this the reason it's glitching?
Is there a program to make it work?
Looking forward to your advice.

It quite likely is the reason for your glitches. There is no app to make something work that the hardware cannot support.

Surely reformatting a Tb drive into 2 partitions could help?

@pinjer: The Galaxy A40 is compatible with Micro SD cards up to 512GB capacity, so this is likely to be why you're having trouble with your  1TB card.

It could also be possible that the card is not actually a 1Tb card, even though it shows the properties as such on a pc. The typical price of this size of card from a reputable manufacturer, such as SanDisk, is upwards of £200. Amazon sell unbranded cards, claiming to be 1Tb, for around £30-40. Best of luck at getting anything close to that in storage at that price!!
