Recent Oct 24 software update has deemed my phone to not meet secursecurity requirements, when ot was OK beforehand. Has anyone else suffered the same problem? Update clearly has bugs?

Hey there

Are you using your device "in region"? I.E. if you are in the UK are you using a UK bought device?

Have you checked the settings? Are you using Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet?

You also haven't indicated what device you are using other than you've posted in the A Series group

It's an A52s 5g used in UK. It has always worked perfectly well with contactless transactions until the software update. Now google wallet states that phone does not meet security requirements. All settings are OK as they have always been. Only change is the samsung update which clearly has bugs. This happened 2 years ago also and only resolved itself after several further updates. Samsung never accepted blame.

Try go to settings > apps Google wallet clear cache see if that will help if not try removing and re adding card again

You are assuming the update has bugs, this may not be the case.

Google and Samsung are fighting an ongoing war against scammers and fraud and so security gets updated every month.

As @Iminvti has said, clear cache in Google Wallet. Then I would perform a soft reset (hold down volume and side button for about 10 seconds until your device powers off, it will then restart - you won't lose data).

All should then be well again.

It is clearly a bug as the software update is the only change to a previously fully functioning phone. Sorry but tour solution didn't work.
