Bright white line down phone

My phone has just suddenly started having a bright white line down the side. I haven't dropped it. Can I resolve it?

If it is right on the edge of phone it may just be the " handle " for Edge Panels
Try swiping on it towards the middle of the screen and see if it does anything or check in Settings - Display and see if Edge Panels is turned on
