I'm using a new galaxy a71 and the battery is going too fast. Did some diagnostic tests and says weak battery. It's been 2 days and I haven't used it properly and it says that funny and disappointing.

The a71 is around 5 years old by now. They haven't made them in a long time. Your battery might have just degraded from sitting in a box for years. Due to the age of the device, you won't have warranty from samsung either.

With the A series, the first number is how good it is. The second number is how new it is.

The first number goes from 0-5 with a 7 sometimes being there.

The second number is currently up to 6.

So you have a really good A series device, but it's 5 generations/years old

Sorry to hear about your battery. When you say you are using a "new a 71", did you buy it brand new and if so when? 

If you bought it in the UK from a registered UK seller and you bought it brand new then return it for refund and buy an alternative device would be my advice.

The device is too old to be "new" so going to assume bought online. Return it.....
