Backing up Notes

I damaged my old phone and wasn't able to transfer data wirelessly or via a cable. Thankfully most stuff has reappeared except for Notes, which is annoying. I have tried everything I can think of. Bizarrely a whole load of notes I had trashed have appeared, along with notes from the phone before! Any ideas on how I can find them?

Also I want to avoid this happening again. Searches have suggested transferring to Samsung Cloud, but other results say this Cloud has been discontinued. Where should I back them up to, and how? Many thanks.

Samsung Cloud's sync feature should act as a backup for notes. Any device that logs in will then download them.

So, open Samsung Cloud and make sure notes are enabled in the sync section. Your notes will be stored by Samsung and downloaded when needed.

Thanks. So I have logged in, and it says that Samsung Notes have been synced. So where do I find them, if they're not on my current phone? Sorry to be so clueless 🙈

Erm, they should just show up. Unless sync wasn't on for your old phone.

Unless you happened to do manual smart switch backups to your computer, kinda just hoping this randomly starts working and they appear

That's possible. I assumed that I would find them 'in the cloud' and transfer them back. Thanks for the help though. 🙏

Mhm, that was my hope too. Seems either your old phone never uploaded them or it's deciding to just not work
