Why can't I ask google a question when I'm on the phone in a call it use to work now it won't do it when I'm in a call

Are you able to access the Internet when in a call @Jennny190 

This would be a network limitation if you can't now.

Yes I can access the Internet it happened last year, after one of the updates it just stopped working.

Please try the following generic troubleshooting guides.

• Https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
• Https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. 
• As a last resort back up and factory reset may help.
• I would also recommend a forum search and Google Search to see if this issue has been raised before.
• Do send feedback via your Samsung Members App.
