I have 2 A series 5g smartphones, both with current Android build and both with the updated Android Auto app. I use a wired AA connection in my Suzuki as wireless is too hit-and-miss. However, I'm sick of having to disconnect my phone whenever I leave the car, so thought I'd reconnect the slightly older phone and just leave it in the car permanently connected to AA via USB. However, it will not connect to AA, despite there being a message on the phone stating that it's connected and I should use the car to operate AA. The other phone still connects to AA via USB. I've checked that the AA app is on 'connect automatically' etc. Anyone have any ideas? Google won't let me post this question on their forums - which I suppose is the proper place for it - as they say it's a duplicate (which it actually doesn't appear to be!).
