What is the exact model of your phone? Also, what baseband version is your phone? Settings, about phone, software version. Did you purchase the phone new and lastly, who is your carrier?

Hmm struggling a bit. Did you purchase the device from new?

Please do the following

1. Open up the Settings application
2. Scroll down and tap on the “About Phone” menu
3. Now tap the “Software Information” option
4. And look for the “Service Provider SW Ver.” section
5. Let me know what this section states.

This should have updated, not sure if it is an O2 issue, I suspect it is. Please remove your sim card, reboot and try to upgrade over wifi.
