A71 Headphone socket/jack

Bought 2 x A71 samsung phone through samsung 2 weeks ago . both phone when watching you tube or listening to music from sd card , no sound comes through the headphones only through the A71 phone speakers. if i wiggle the samsung supplied earphones at the jack point, the music freezes and also the  you tube clips freeze . Is there any way to solve this or are both phones faulty

As a process of elimination can you try your earphones in another phone.

And try another set in yours @phibbieman 

Use a torch to ensure there is no foreign debris in the ports.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can check the phone.

Hi there , Tried again and now headphones work , I never fully pushed the headphone lead fully in . The last 0.5mm was tight to push in , my Moto G6 plus was not a tight a fit as the samsung.
