A7 won't detect wifi network on airplane mode anymore

Hi, 

Since today, while it had been Woking completely fine for almost 2 years, my phone won't detect any normal WiFi network while on airplane mode with WiFi activated. It will scan, find some hot-spot, find for 5 seconds another network before it disappears etc.

I already tried rebooting, safe mode and resetting network settings.

Now it's showing other networks, but only half of what it can detect when it's not in airplane mode. 

Of course, my network is still invisible in said mode.

@Aliciabibi: Flight mode/Airplane mode, when activated, suspends the radio-frequency signal transmission of the device, thereby disabling Bluetooth, network connection, and Wi-Fi. I'm not sure why you were originally able to connect to your Wi-Fi router in Flight Mode, but where possible I would recommend disabling this feature in order to establish a connection.

No, not in recent phones, if you turn the WiFi while in airplane mode.

We have 3 phones at home plus one tablet, and all of them can have the WiFi on even after you put airplane mode (actually, the tablet is always in airplane mode + WiFi)

Even my old Samsung galaxy ace something that run on android 4 could do that.
