Difficult to stop the junk once your address has been snared...
Couple of possible options would be to use a decent email client that could filter the junk away from your main inbox or maybe use a second, disposable, email address to use when interacting with websites / signing up for newsletters, etc. & unsubscribing from all with your primary email address.
