A36 Android Auto

My new A36 is not playing nice with Android Auto in any car. A Pixel 7 phone and another Samsung phone (older model, not 100% sure which though) work fine in two different cars with any cable and one via an Android Auto wireless adapter.

A36 on wireless will be ok sometimes, and other times the maps seem to freeze for a while and audio stutters until the map catches up, or it just all disconnects and will reconnect again a minute or so later.

With a cable that works for other phones, the A36 disconnects after less than 10 seconds and unplugging and plugging it in again will give it another short time of working. These cables work 100% with other phones. With an extremely short cable (20cm) it lasts longer but still will periodically disconnect and requires unplugging and plugging in again.

I've changed all sorts of settings but nothing seems to improve it, without a stable way to connect to Android Auto this phone seems to be quite useless 😢

Any help or advice would be appreciated....

i have the same problem. may i know which brand/what type of android auto wireless adapter did you use? i would like to try it out.

ive tried my a36 on a different car and it works, so it might be that the car's head unit is just not compatible with a36. im trying to ask if the head unit can be updated.

I have this HOTPEAK Wireless Carplay Android... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D7L99GCZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share which works perfectly with a Google pixel 7, just not with the Samsung 😟
