I have a galaxy a3 2016 running 7.0 with current updates installed.

I cannot get bluetooth to start. When I try, the following happens :-

Apps/settings/connections/bluetooth

Shows OFF. and Icon shows circle to left with right of slider white

Tap to turn on

Shows ON

Message - Bluetooth has stopped, option is - close app

Message changes to - Bluetooth keeps stopping. option is - close app

Click twice to get rid of message(s)

Bluetooth slider shows circle to right but left is still white, not turned blue

Turn off screen and then on

Bluetooth slider shows normal and OFF

Ideas ?

Go into settings, advance settings, restore, restore wireless settings.

Then turn off your device and bootinto safe mode by pressing the home and volume up button and then press the power button. Keep everything pressed till you do not boot into safe mode and then perform the wipe cache partition.

Reboot and see if you solved the issue.

Thanks for response.

7.0 uses general management/reset/reset network settings/which resets wifi mobile data and Bluetooth. Pressed reset and the same again. Message at bottom confirms connections reset but then get both Bluetooth error messages. Cleared them.

Rebooted and performed clear cache option, confirmed cache cleared but also showed error message "failed to find misc partition (?)" showed, rebooted phone, Bluetooth error message appears as phone shows home screen.

Bluetooth still acts as before.
