Is the galaxy a50 5g compatible. If so do I need to speak to my carrier for 5g sim

As far as I'm aware. The A50 never had 5G chipset fitted.
Think you need to get at least the A51 5G

If your looking to have a 5G connection @Sparky76 then you'll need a

• Phone with 5G included in it's bands.
• A 5G sim card if yours isn't already.
• Be in an area with 5G modules.
• A tariff that offers 5G.

Please take into consideration 5G offers downloads of larger files faster.

On the whole it does not vastly improve surfing speeds.

If your getting a 4G / 4G+ connection then the service hopefully should be fast enough already.

Thanks all, I guess I will stick with 4g. My phone works well enough and don't need to replace it. As it is 5g coverage in my area is pretty poor anyway. 😕
