Hello guys, could someone please explain to me something so i can understand? And if it happens to any of you?
Whenever i make a call from apps like whatsapp, messenger etc i see a weird white dot above the battery percentage logo in the screen that blinks every second until the call is over. But when i make a normal call from the phone app it doesnt appear.. does anyones know what that is?

Yep @Jaybee360 is correct, this sense whether your face is close to the phone during calls..
this then switches the screen off to prevent accidental actions

@BenGinders i understand that but why doesn't it show while on normal call? isn't it all the same process?

@Hfrattner,

As users have already mentioned, the white small flashing light next to the camera represents the proximity sensor. There is nothing to worry about 😉.
