Phone freezes

Does anybody else's phone freeze for no reason and not respond? It normally stops on the lock screen and freezes, with the fingerprint sensor and side buttons not responding. The touch screen also does not work when this happens.

It's happened to me atleast 10 - 20 times since I've updated to the new beta.

The only way I have found to temporaraly fix the issue is to hard restart the phone.

Same thing happens to me had enough of this update, never can opting in for beta. Didnt expect it to be flawed this much.

Issue with screen refresh rate. Download "galaxy max hz" from xda Community switch on option "force lowest hz". Its a temporary fix till samsung issues the fix.

Unfortunately many users have been experiencing this issue on their devices 😔.

Our developers already know about the problem and they are working on fixing it .

Yes, same here .....Samsung keyboard freeze , many apps crashed, camera freeze too , battery drained so quickly , please fix it as soon as possible , or probably this will be my last Samsung phone

It happens regardless. Sometimes it happens when no apps are running. Sometimes when apps are running

I've set my S20U 5G to the standard motion smoothness option and it's generally better in terms of less freezing and stuttering.

Another person in the community suggested making sure you're on your default home page before locking your screen to help reduce this issue too. It sometimes helps but hard to understand why it sometimes works and doesn't.

We'll just need to wait for Samsung to create a fix, QA it properly then release it.

It's to do with the screen refresh rate - if you change it (either by going into display settings or by turning on and off power saving mode) the phone will stop lagging

Yes I find the same
