edge lighting

I'm shocked to find the edge lighting has disappeared.

I found edge lighting in Settings>Notifications>Brief Pop Up Settings

I've still got mine. TBH, it didn't seem to work until after the OS update!

It's there for me but it seems slightly bugged as there is now a black border that appears around the corners of the screen when the effect is active and the screen is on. The effect also doesn't go right to the corners anymore. I don't think they've updated the corner radius values for Note devices yet since it looks more like its set up for the S series devices more rounded corners. I think the update also enables it for all apps by default now too. On Pie and Q only the stock messages app was enabled by default and then you had to manually toggle other apps to use it.

Hi @GaryRowl

Since a new notification pop-up styles have been introduced, the Edge lightning option has been moved to:

Settings -> Notifications > Brief pop-up settings

Please note that this feature only works when you have "Brief" notification pop-up style set (it will not work with "Detailed" one).

thanks all, I had it set for detailed, are they supposed to be animated when you choose one? because mine just stays static showing a ring around the screen and no.movement.

Yeah they should be animated. Have you got animations turned off in developer options per chance?
