When you press and hold a image on a photo it says its saved as a sticker but doesn't appear in the gallery.

It's the sticker gallery not the photo gallery

If you edit a picture you'll see a sticker option click on it and it will be there

Doesn't it also appear in the sticker section of samsung keyboard under sticker section?

Looks like it only works with the photo editor.
Stickers appear in your custom stickers when editing a photo.

Was hoping they'd be available to import anywhere using the keyboard.

After taking a photo and saving its part as a sticker go to Photo Editor > Stickers > And click the little Gallery icon to view the sticker 😉.
