To ensure your Samsung S23 Ultra reads all app notifications after the Android 16 upgrade, go to Settings > Notifications > App notifications and select All apps to see a comprehensive list of apps. For each app, tap the toggle to Allow notifications and ensure that settings like "Show as pop-up" are enabled to receive alerts effectively. You can also access notification settings for a specific app by touching and holding its icon and selecting Settings.

Enabling All Notifications

Open the Settings app on your phone.

Tap on Notifications.

Select App notifications.

Tap the drop-down menu at the top and choose All apps. This will display a complete list of all apps on your device.

For any app you want to receive notifications from, make sure the toggle switch next to it is turned on.

Adjusting Notification Settings for Individual Apps

Access App Settings: Long-press the app icon on your home screen or app drawer.

Tap App Info or Settings: From the pop-up menu, select the option to view App info or Settings.

Go to Notifications: Tap on the Notifications option within the app's settings.

Enable Notifications: Make sure "Show notifications" is toggled on.

Allow Pop-ups: For some apps, you may need to enable the "Show as pop-up" setting to see notifications immediately.

Other Important Settings to Check

Notification Categories:

Samsung's One UI 7 (which would likely precede an Android 16 upgrade) includes a "Manage notification categories" option under Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings. Enabling this allows for more granular control over the types of notifications you receive from an app.

Lock Screen Notifications:

To ensure notifications appear on your lock screen, go to Settings > Notifications > Lock screen notifications and select an option like Cards to display full notification content instead of just icons.

Panel Settings:

After an update, you may notice a change in how the notification panel works. To revert to the old style where you can swipe down anywhere to view notifications, go to the notification panel, tap the pencil icon, select Panel settings, and then choose Together.

Try disabling and then re-enabling.
It did not alter my notifications on upgrading so the help I offer is not from experience but just general troubleshooting.

Hello @S1mm0,

Thanks for reporting! If the solutions suggested above didn't help - Please send an error report through Samsung Members app so that the developers can take a look at what may be the cause. You can also try to perform wipe cache partition and see if that helps ‌‌‌‌🤞

Have a good day! ☀️
