I've never been so irritated and frustrated by a phone change as I was switching to the S25 Ultra and it's all because of UI7.
Grouping notifications like this is so unintuitive. If I'm at work for example I'll want to quickly glance at my messages to see if there's anything important, but it will stack them all on top of each other so at a quick glance I only see the most recent one. What if the most recent one is the most inane, pointless message going and the others are all emergencies or urgent messages that I've missed because of this stupid stacking feature?
Annoyingly, it doesn't do it on certain apps, which suggests it can be app-dependent, but that doesn't explain why we can't change the setting. I can see where it's slightly useful for some apps such as home cameras where there's a million of the same notification, but for messaging apps particularly it's a car crash.
The funny thing is, I was ranting to my dad about it and he said how irritating that sounded. Then he looked at his phone (latest iPhone) and this stacked nonsense is exactly how his notifications are displayed. Why are Android trying to conform to a sub-par product when most of their user base is trying to get away from that unintuitive mess? Please sort this out.
