Ebay app not compatible?

Just wanted to know if the eBay app is not compatible for you too on this beta software. I may have to go back to the older android version at this point.

It's because the current beta isn't properly certified, so the device isn't passing the full play integrity checks so it won't let you download it from the play store (same reason Google wallet and other more secure apps don't work).

You should be able to sideload the APK though and it should work fine. I've had the app installed prior to installing the latest beta and it works fine but I can't update or redownload it from the play store

I've had Ebay installed prior to joining Beta and it works fine and has also updated at least twice whilst under Beta (this morning being the latest update) so not sure why you can't update it. The version in play store will be (is) A.15 compliant. The 'integrity checks' you say being the same as Google wallet is also incorrect. Playstore only checks device compatibility for an app (OS, model, build). Google Wallet and payment failures are due to the devices' security signature not being signed and authenticated whilst under Beta. Apps listed in Playstore have no indication of nor can they read / access any security certificate on a device until they are installed and ran.
I've also had no issues with using Google Wallet.

Thanks for reporting! Does the issue concern only Ebay app? Has the app been working correctly on previous Beta version? Please also send an error report through Samsung Members app so that the developers can take a look at what may be the cause

Actually I don't think what your saying is true. I did an experiment with another device that I can modify and with the fully intact device integrity it can download the eBay app just fine. However when I tried the same with the device integrity spoofed to basic (with no changes to the software fingerprint etc and the play store still showing certified in about) the app was suddenly incompatible so it does seem like the play store checks the integrity status to determine if apps are compatible in some situations. This is also stated in the Google Play developer support docs.

I also had no issues with Google Wallet and incompatible apps prior to about a month into beta 3 (ZXLJ) (I'm guessing something expired somewhere) and had no issues with it on beta 4 (ZYBA). It seems to be the beta 4 hotfix released for the S24 Ultra (ZYBF) that broke it again for me. My guess is that you are using an S24 or S24+ which didn't need the additional hotfix

eBay app has now stopped working and can't update or redownload as it's saying device not compatible, Facebook has also been playing up and a couple of other apps too

Ebay app won't work unless you're signed into your Google Play account.
